Mandarin Classes

MANDARIN CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS (one class per week)

This class is suitable for children without any experience with Mandarin.

Class will be conducted solely in Mandarin and parents are strongly encouraged to participate in class as role models. Parents do not need to know Mandarin to participate.

Class is usually based on a picture book and is filled with activities, chants, songs and a craft related to the topic.

The focus of this class is to create interest in learning Mandarin and that the children will gradually be willing to speak a new language.

MANDARIN IMMERSION CLASSES (one class per week)

Class A

This class is suitable for children with basic understanding of Mandarin or with previous classroom experience in Mandarin.

Class will be conducted solely in Mandarin. Class is based on a picture book and is filled with interactive activities, chants, songs and a craft related to the topic. 

Students will have fun while learning practical phrases along with the vocabularies taught in each class.

Class B

This class is suitable for children who are ready to begin learning Mandarin with simple textbooks and workbooks. 

Class will be conducted solely in Mandarin with interactive activities. Students will learn to read and write basic Chinese characters as well as pinyin/zhuyin. Students will also be given homework. 

Class C

This class is suitable for children who can converse in Mandarin and can read with pinyin/zhuyin.

Class will be conducted solely in Mandarin with textbooks and interactive activities. Students will also be given homework. 

English Classes

Fun with phonics

Build a strong foundation in reading by developing phonemic awareness. Children will learn to associate the sounds with letters through games, songs, chants, and stories.

ESL Conversation

Students in this class will learn practical English phrases, idioms, and pronunciation in a fun and comfortable atmosphere.

Students will learn to communicate in English effectively and fluently.

ENGLISH WRITING

Students in this class will learn different skills in planning, organizing, and editing English writing.

Art Classes

Mandarin Immersion Creative Arts

Students in this class will learn Mandarin through experiments, visual arts, cooking, and more.

Artists Study Class

Students will study famous artists in history and create their own masterpieces.
